Mile Marker, Honor, Farewell, and Family

June 20, 2019  •  Leave a Comment

Our family gathered at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on June 18 to honor the lives of my wife's parents at their committal service and internment. This was an amazingly peaceful and beautiful place; a wonderful place to reflect among all the others resting here.

My father-in-law was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during WWII. These honor guard members represented the Air Force on this day.

The Honor Guard rendered a 21 - gun salute. Salute

The flag ceremony was intense, as all eyes faced the detail.
